You can’t cover up your failure in corruption fight by firing PPA boss – ADAM-GH to Nana

The Executive Secretary of Anchoring Democracy Advocacy Movement Ghana (ADAM-GH) Mr. Azubila Salam Emmanuel has challenged the President to take actions against all corruption and conflict of interest cases concerning officials and Ministers exposed by Anas Aremeyaw Tiger Eye PI at the seat of government (the presidency) if he really means fighting corruption and conflict of interest.

The then-candidate Nana Addo in 2016 promised Ghanaians that “I will use Anas Aremeyaw Anas Tiger eye PI principles to fight corruption in my government”.

Ghanaians are astonished now seeing the same President Nana Addo government fighting the individuals and institutions that are fighting corruptions in the country which led to the murder of Ahmed Suale, Manasseh Azure resigned and flew to South Africa just to save his life and finally, Yaw Domelevo as Auditor’s General was forced out of office by President Nana Addo for investigating his Senior Minister Yaw Osarfo Mafo over USD1 million corruption deal.

According to the Executive Secretary of ADAM-GH Mr. Azubila, it is undeniable fact that all serious anti-corruption institutions fighting corruptions and scandals in Ghana has suffered the wrath of Nana Addo Government one way or the other.

The CEO of Public Procurement Authority (PPA) Mr. Adjenim Boateng Adjei has been dismissed because it is indirectly affecting the President Chances of winning December 2020 General elections, as his party members are bitter that, the PPA Boss Adjenim Boateng was selling contracts that supposed to be given to the party contractors and therefore, some of the party contractors have not gotten a job and can not finance the party any more.

Investigative Journalist Manasseh Azure came out with several investigative findings including using state house and state resources to train party vigilantes at the Castle which is more dangerous and a threat to our country peace and security as we are approaching December elections. If it is true that President Nana Addo really wants to prove to Ghanaians that his government is committed to fighting corruption, then he should deal with the following corruptions and scandals before December elections:

*1.* Charles Bisiw galamsey bribery and corruption at the presidency reported by Anas Aremeyaw Anas Tiger eye PI team.

*2.* President Nana Addo and his former best friend Kwasi Nyantakye scandals revealed by Anas Aremyaw Anas Tiger eye PI (Nana Addo is in Nyantakye pocket).

*3.* Samy Awuku galamsey scandals where his driver was arrested trying to bribe police officers by Anas Aremeyaw Tiger eye .

*4.* Prof. Frimpong Boateng galamsey and excavators saga where we heard a popular saying “party hia sika” . *5.* His boys at the presidency who led Ghana to fraud PDS contract without any vitiating factors put in place where Ghana lost close to *USD 200 million*.

*6.* Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Marfo USD 1million scandal which led to the Auditor’s General Yaw Domelevo forced out of office.

*7.* The BOST contaminated oil scandal where National security was stopped from investigating the scandal. *8.* Visa scandals by his Deputy minister Pios Hadzide.

*9.* Their male children who were to benefit from Agyapa and their daughters formed “my sister’s keepers company” going round defrauding and threatening government agencies for money in this country.

*10.* The finance minister Ken Ofori Atta’s Ken bond without advert and awarding to himself.

ADAM-GH as a civil society organization that fights corruption and anchors proper Democratic principles, we believe that this government has woefully failed in the fight against corruption and conflict of interest and therefore sacking the PPA Boss is to his political advantage to please his party boys.

I don’t think the president can succeed using the dismissal of PPA boss as a facade to undermine the intelligence of Ghanaians to say that he is committed to fighting corruption or conflict of interest.

Signed

Azubila Salam Emmanuel

Executive Secretary of ADAM-GH.
