Win Kintampo South Parliamentary Seat to Honour Lordina Mahama – Dr. Kwabena Donkor

Dr. Kwabena Donkor, former Minister of Power, has challenged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency and branch executives in Kintampo South to win the Parliamentary seat in honor of former First Lady Mrs. Lordina Mahama.

In his address at a get-together hosted for Constituency and Branch Executives by Mrs. Mahama at Ampoma, the Pru East MP contended that the executives had disappointed the NDC, especially Mrs. Lordina Mahama, in the 2020 elections. According to him, the fact that the former first lady was from Kintampo South and the executives failed to deliver the seat for the NDC was a tremendous disappointment and an indictment on the approval rating of Mrs. Mahama and the NDC in the constituency in her home constituency.

He therefore asked the Constituency and Branch Executives to work hard to win the seat for the NDC in the 2024 general elections in honor of the in-coming first lady of the republic, stressing that whatever happened that resulted in the seat being lost to the NPP in 2020 must be resolved peacefully.

The Member of the Mines and Energy Committee of Parliament stated that the future Mahama-led NDC government will need a parliamentary majority to function effectively and smoothly implement all of its programmes to achieve the transformation Ghanaians demand.

He emphasized that the NDC cannot afford to lose Kintampo South again, and urged party officials to work tirelessly to reclaim the seat.
