November is here again and the people of Anlo and its allied states in the Volta Region of Ghana are preparing for their annual festival, Hogbetsotso Za (Hogbetsotso Festival).
As part of the festival, Fylla Entertainments in collaboration with Rich Empire under the auspices of the Hogbe Institute are searching for the most beautiful, energetic, resourceful and intelligent young lady to be crown Mama Hogbe 2018.
Mama Hogbe is a beauty pageant which is one of the major activities during the Anlo Hogbetsotso Festival celebration. The Hogbetsotso Festival is celebrated by the people of Anlo in the Volta Region once every year normally in the first week of November. The Mama Hogbe contest starts with an audition where beautiful ladies from all the 36 Anlo States and beyond file and get auditioned into the contest house. Noble and knowledgeable adjudicators who know much about the Anlo culture scrutinize and groom the contestants until the final event day where they exhibit how best they know their culture, talent, beauty and intelligence through colorful, educative and exciting performances.
This year, the contest of very hot. The ladies have already being auditioned and officially availed to the Chiefs and the people of Anlo at Mini Durbar held at Klikor-Agbozume in Some Traditional Area on Saturday 27th October, 2018.

- Elorm is from Woe-Abutia;
- Maud Sefakor from Abolove-Nolofi;
- Xetsa from Wuga-Zomay (Dzelukope)
- Xorxorli is from Dzodze-Penyi
- Edzordzinam Gina from Aflao
- Dede Martha from Afife
- Sedinam from Woe
- Enam is Anloga-Afatome and
- Enyonam from Anloga-Lashibi
The reality show is scheduled November 1, 2018 at Anloga Shopping Mall from 8pm.
The organizing and planning crew for the event have been on a media tour for a week now, as they made it to V1 TV’s programme ‘’Anlo Hogbetsotso Za’’ with Efo Etse Agbemebiese on Thursday, Jubilee radio in Keta on Friday and will be live on Shinefm-Akatsi, Kekeli Radio-Ho, Victory fm-Aflao, Hogbe Radio- Anloga and other media partners across the region prio to the event
Expected to grace the stage are; Keeny Ice, JJ Gonami, Breketey, Zygee, Remedy, Costiro, ShieshieNatan, Kamelyen, Bacteria, Robert Hud, Antigua, Max Grad, cash dollar, Boy Goodie and Bandy Boy.
