We’ll never let you rig the 2024 elections – NDC’s Malik Basintale warns NPP

Following claims that the Director of Communication of NPP, Richard Ahiagbah was stopped in his tracks when he tried to register for the second time as a voter at Ketu South, the NDC has sent out a stern warning.

Deputy National Communication Officer of NDC, Malik Basintale in an interview on Sunday evening said the NDC was more than prepared to stop any dubious attempts to skew the results of the 2024 elections in favour of the NPP.

He also called on the Police to arrest the NPP capo or the NDC would initiate a citizen arrest to arrest Richard Ahiagbah.

“We will not tolerate this attempt by the NPP to use dubious means to steal the mandate of Ghanaians in the December 7 elections. We have the challenge form with us, and we are calling on the Ghana Police Service to arrest him immediately. If they fail to do so, we will initiate a citizen’s arrest,” Malik Basintale.

According to him, the NDC won’t be an observer, but a stopper of rigging and election malpractices intended by the NPP to destruct the process.  He vowed that the party will go to any length to ensure every NPP act of rigging or malice is aborted.

“We will not stand by and watch the NPP engage in illegal activities to rig the elections,” Malik Basinatel said on Metro TV’s News Night.

Adding, “We will do everything within our power to ensure that the will of the people is respected.”
