We won’t forget your own words – Beatrice Annan tells Akufo-Addo

Beatrice Annan

The spokesperson for John Mahama’s campaign team, Beatrice Annan, has claimed that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has no legacy worth protecting.

Reacting to the comment by the president that handing over to John Mahama would mean flushing his legacies down the drain, Beatrice Annan scoffed at the supposed legacies of the President.

In an interview on Citi FM’s Eyewitness News, Beatrice Annan said President Akufo-Addo recently admitted that the country was in a bad state so what legacies are there then to protect?

According to Beatrice Annan, President Akufo-Addo “has no legacy.” Adding, “We are talking about a government that just last March, the President himself was in parliament to admit that the state of our country today is worse off than it was 40 years ago.”

She said the country is in a bad state and the brutal assessment and confirmation that it is worse than 40 years ago did not come from the NDC but the President himself. “These are not the words of the NDC,” she stressed.

Before Beatrice Annan’s reaction, the NDC leader responded to the President’s comments by saying he wouldn’t protect a legacy clothed in corruption and terrible economic management.
