A former parliamentary aspirant of the National Democratic Congress in the Weija-Gbawe Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Hon. Faisel Saidu has expressed the party’s readiness to snatch the seat from the New Patriotic Party in the 2024 General elections.
According to him, the NPP had held onto the seat for four terms, yet the constituency has not seen any meaningful development. He added that the NPP have nothing good to offer the people of Weij-Gbawe and therefore called on the electorates to vote massively for former President John Mahama and Felix Nii Odartey Lamptey.
The former NDC parliamentary aspirant said this at the coronation ceremony of the Gbawe Gonse Zongo Chief at Gonse in the Weija-Gbawe constituency where he represented the NDC Parliamentary Candidate Felix NIi Odartey Lamptey.
He said the NDC have all it takes to win the Weija-Gbawe seat due to measures that have been put in place and the poor performance of the current MP.
According to him, the District Assembly election in Weija-Gbawe constituency is a clear indication that the people are fed up with the poor leadership of NPP in the Constituency and are calling on the NDC to takeover.
This indicators, and others, he added point to the fact that the NDC stands a great chance of winning the seat as the constituents will vote massively for the NDC come December 7 this year.
He said the lack of development in the Constituency is visible in the bad roads networks, poor drainage systems, and other social amenities which is an indication that the NPP has failed the constituents greatly.
He said the NDC in the constituency is ready to defeat any candidate the NPP will elect in their Parliamentary primaries and assure them of a loss they have never witnessed before.
According to him, the NDC has presented a candidate who is ready to solve the problems brought onto the good people of Weija – Gbawe by the NPP.
