A 13 year old boy was allegedly murdered at Aflorkope Dove village on Sunday night to be used by a priestess for rituals.
On 29th August, 2021, at about 2200hrs GMT, a distress call was received from Tornyi Oppong Martin, a Community Policing Assistant (CPA) to the effect that a 13 year old boy, later identified as Kofi, has been murdered at Aflorkope – Dove village within the jurisdiction.
Operation motherland personnel proceeded to the scene of the crime and arrested the suspect Emmanuel Tsidi Doe, aged 22 years, an okada operator.
The suspect was immediately interrogated in the presence of witnesses and he stated that another suspect, Madam Floda Ekpe, aged 52 years, the priestess of Shelter Pentencostal Church Prayer Centre at Aflorkope allegedly instructed him to provide her with a human head for some rituals.
The victim’s head was found behind the house of the suspect madam priestess Floda Ekpe and the headless body found in the Blakoe Stream at Aflorkope – Dove village.
The third suspect madam Adiku OKudzeto, aged 60years, who attends the Shelter Pentecostal Church Prayer Center for healing prayers, was also alleged to have played a significant role in the murder of the innocent boy and was arrested.
The body of the deceased 13 year old boy was deposited at the Roman Catholic Hospital, Battor for preservation and autopsy.
Meanwhile, the three suspects are in Aveyime Police custody assisting in investigations.
