The youth wing of National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region has joined the masses to congratulate ex-President John Dramani Mahama for his victory in the party’s presidential primaries.
The group also congratulated the six candidates who contested in the election but lost to Mahama and applauded them for ensuring peace and remaining calm after the declaration of the results of the poll.
In a press statement, the NDC youth called for a united party and support for the flagbearer elect, John Mahama into the upcoming general elections in 2020.
“We urge all the other contestants and their followers to rally around our candidate JDM so we can forge ahead with unity of purpose and determination to win the 2020 elections so as to liberate Ghanaians from the crippling economic hardships and deteriorating security situations under this corrupt NPP government,” the Volta NDC youth encouraged.
“As an integral wing of the party, we pledge our unflinching support and loyalty to our party and flag bearer, as we work together to capture power come 2020. It is our wish that we forge ahead as a party unified by a common goal, harmonized by our common struggle and energized by the plight of the ordinary Ghanaian to ensure victory in 2020,” they added.
