About the Concerned Volta Citizens Education Fund:

CVC EduFund is a group of Ghanaian citizens from the Volta Region living at home and abroad,  concerned with the high cost of university education in Ghana – that inhibits poor but brilliant Voltarian kids from furthering their education, have come together to address this problem using a registered NGO – Concerned Volta Citizens Education Fund (CVC EduFund).

As of January 2021, the pioneering members have sponsored 9 brilliant but needy students to undertake 7 different courses that include Natural Resources Planning, Accounting, Physics, Veterinary Medicine, Medicine, among others, with total funding of GHS31,000 for the maiden batch. Twenty-one applications, in all, were processed out of which the nine recipients (from 5 different assemblies) were short-listed for the award after a rigorous selection interview.

CVC Edufund intends to provide second year’s support to the maiden batch of 9, plus at least another 20 new students that will be competitively selected from all 18 assemblies of the Volta region. We are therefore calling on all people interested in helping to accelerate the growth and development of the Volta Region, not necessarily indigenes, to rally behind and support this laudable cause.
