V/R: Constituency Chairman framed accusations against DCE

From Kafui Datsomor, Ave Dakpa VR

The NPP Constituency Chairman, Simon Salansa Doe in Akatsi North is engaged in framed accusations against the DCE of the area, Hon. Dr. Prince Sodoke Amuzu to oust him from the position and get him replaced with one Clemence Tamakloe, who according to some informants in Ave Dakpa has been financing the efforts of the chairman against the DCE.

The chairman has written so many petitions against the DCE to the Presidency citing somecircumstances to butter his evil plans against the DCE.

[ads1]Investigations by this reporter has revealed many falsehoods levelled against the DCE.

Some of the accusations against the DCE are that, he has been awarding contracts to the NDC members, he misleadingly claimed that the DCE had a secret deal with the NDC that after his confirmation he should “favour” the NDC members, he bought Six Apsonic motor bikes for some Assembly Members to vote against Paul Ayrah who was contesting for the position of a Presiding Member, he did not sack his Personal Assistant who he claim the Executives had suspended from the party and many more.

Chiefs attempted resolving the scuffle because it could frustrate development but the meetings were fruitless or inconclusive because of the actions and inactions of Salansa Doe. The chairman and some executives rather told the DCE bluntly that, they have seized to recognize him as their DCE therefore cannot work with him.

Several attempts by the Chiefs, Assembly Members, Opinion leaders and Ave Development Union to call the Executives to order proved futile as the executives even refused to honour any invitation by these stakeholders to any public gathering. A recent emergency assembly meeting was called and invitations sent to them, but they offered a flimsy excuse but were seen later partying at the Chairman’s house.

Speaking to some members to authenticate the truth of the matter revealed a lot of evil plans haboured by the Chairman to oust the DCE. In the case of Paul Ayirah, one Assembly member who spoke on anonymous said

“He is not a good material to be presented by the NPP. If he is the only choice, then we will maintain our presiding member. Some of us even felt the NPP should present a formidable candidate so that we can support and vote for. But for Ayirah, we know him before he joined the NPP few days to election 2016. So for us in here, we cannot vote for such a person. He has a lot of questionable characters.” He again revealed “those NPP Executives has a devilish agenda against the DCE. Their plan is that, the moment Ayirah becomes the PM, they would mobilize and pass a vote of no confidence against the DCE and connive with some Assembly Members to vote against the DCE. We at the other side knows this and we would not allow it to happen. The DCE is God-sent. He entertains everybody equally, he has shunned away that petty politicking and very hardworking. I just can’t think far why his own people are against him. If they don’t need him, we do”

Again some party faithful who anonymously gave their testimony revealed the DCE is only been tormented.

“as for those Executives, that has been their character. They did same to Kofi Negble and Abledu some years ago when we were Avenor-Ave, they are really bad seeds. Till now, I don’t understand why our delegates couldn’t change them. We are just observing, but I know their time will come and we will show them what we have.”

He continued with allegations of the award of contracts to NDC members

“Issues on contracts falsely levelled against the DCE is mindboggling especially when one, Timothy Nortsu-Kotoe is mentioned. The executives on this point have shown gross ingrate when a personality of such nature is mentioned. This is somebody who had financed the party even in oppositions till we won the election.

The chairman on record has told some of us who tried questioning the activities of Timothy Nortsu-Kotoe in the party since we thought he might belong to the NDC, that he is an NPP member and has pointed out what the man did for the party. He cited him buying the horns on the campaign pick-up and fuel for the campaign. If this was, why now tag the person as an NDC since we are already indebted to the person? This is a mere allegation and a show of ungratefulness.

Some of the executives are the ones leading the contractors for contracts in the district. GodfredKudalor is always on the nerves of the DCE for contracts to his friends. It beats your mind to hear these people issuing unrealistic allegations to a tune of such nature. All the tents, plastic chairs, water, drinks and food supplied during any party event here is contracted by the Chairman Salansa. Most of the Executives have two or one School feeding slot. If this is not gluttony, then get me a better word!”  he slammed.

From anonymous source, during the just ended Constituency elections, some of the executives laid ambush around the residence of the DCE to physically attack or may be kill him just because they thought he was supporting another team against them. They (executives) even physically attacked the DCE at Kpeduhoe but was rescued by the people of Kpeduhoe who escorted him home and guarded his residence throughout the night. This action called for an emergency security beef and some security personnel from the District Police Division and some Invincible Forces who heard the news, man up to protect the DCE.

Meanwhile, before the nomination of Dr. Prince Sodoke Amuzu by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2017, the Chairman Salansa Doe wanted his son Eyram Kortsi and his alleged son-in-law Clemence Tamakloe also to be the DCE. Also in contention was Paul Ayirah who joined the party few days to election 2016 and Godfred Kudalor, all contested to be the DCE. This logically means they all wanted the position hencethe framed accusations against the Hon. DCE.
