The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Adaklu constituency of the Volta region has began construction work on a GHS400,000 constituency office project.
The project which is solely being financed by the Member of Parliament for the area, Kwame Governs Agbodza is expected to be fully completed in 2022.
The project which has began just last week, would have office space for the Member of Parliament, constituency chairman, secretary, youth and women organisers, a conference room among other ancillary facilities.
According to the MP, Kwame Governs Agbodza, the completion of the constituency office would not only be befitting but would provide a permanent home for the party in Adaklu.
He told the media while on an inspection tour of some ongoing projects in the constituency that, “My constituency executives have been very supportive of the party and myself to advance the course of the NDC,” while adding that, “The NDC party here in Adaklu is responsible for bringing development to Adaklu and so it’s our objective to consolidate our gains as a party and that further requires a befitting office space.”
As part of the tour, the MP also visited some other educational and health infrastructure projects being funded from the MP’s Common Fund.
Notable among the ongoing projects is an 8-unit classroom block being built for the Adaklu Senior High school at the cost of GHS1.5 million, a project the MP is financing solely from his own pocket.
