Some 128 sacks containing 9,752 slabs of cannabis has been intercepted by the Narcotics Control Commission and police in the Volta Region on Tuesday.
The product which was being conveyed in a Mercedes Benz truck was intercepted in Ho during a joint operation by the police and NACOC.
The vehicle with registration number GC 3690-09 and an inscription: “HASKY 1,” was believed to be travelling from Dzameni in the South Dayi District of the Volta region through the capital towards the southern part of the region.
According to the Narcotics Control Commission, investigations have so far began into the case of the seized consignment.
