US-based Ghana in the diaspora group, Diaspora Progressive Movement has joined calls for the immediate withdrawal of the Comprehensive Sexuality Education without any further consultations.
According to the group in a press statement copied Awake News signed by its leader, Dr. Lawenrece Appiah, “The Christian and Muslim Community described it as Satanic and a broader consultation is needed before anything is even considered. The NDC communicators also considered it as homosexuality in a different form. The NPP communicators also described it as good for our kids because they said the word “homosexuality” is not in the guidelines. The All People’s Congress (APC) also described it as a failure of politicians to the people of Ghana.”
Though the President has stated that is going to meet some Christian and Moslem leaders at the Flagstaff House for a broader consultation on Comprehensive Sexuality Education, the “Diaspora Progressive Movement believe that there should be no consultation at all on this subject.”
“We say this because of where we are based. We are in America and we know the power of these lobbyists.” – He emphasized
The group has since “ask the Government of Ghana to investigate the claim made by the Minority that the Government of Sweden gave us $22 million to start this process of homosexuality. The report of this investigation should be made public to the people of Ghana before 2020.”

Press Conference by the Diaspora Progressive Movement on Comprehensive Sexuality Education.
Uproot CSE. No further Consultations are needed
Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press. Thank you for coming.
Last week, the NPP government forced every Ghanaian to talk about what they want to introduce to our five year old children called Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE)
The Christian and Muslim Community described it as Satanic and a broader consultation is needed before anything is even considered. The NDC communicators also considered it as homosexuality in a different form. The NPP communicators also described it as good for our kids because they said the word “homosexuality” is not in the guidelines. The All People’s Congress (APC) also described it as a failure of politicians to the people of Ghana.
I heard this week, the President, Nana Addo is going to meet some Christian and Moslem leaders at the Flagstaff House for a broader consultation on Comprehensive Sexuality Education and this is where we come in.
We members of the Diaspora Progressive Movement believe that there should be no consultation at all on this subject. We say this because of where we are based. We are in America and we know the power of these. lobbyists.
All they are looking for is the start of the process and then they come in with their influence. Right now they have succeeded in getting Comprehensive Sexuality Education in our 2019 policy document, which is the Budget. CSE is in our Teacher’s Guide approved by Ghana Education Service. It also appeared in our Teacher’s training manual recently. Now, the next step for these lobbyists is the broader consultation the President is calling for and they are done.
If these Pastors and Muslims allow politicians to sit at reserved front seats in their churches and mosques, then these lobbyists have an avenue to accomplish their aim. This is why I agree with APC that it is the politicians that have failed Ghanaians and will continue to fail Ghanaians. These lobbyists will work with these politicians who sit at front seats with real cash and before we realize CSE, which the Pastors call Satanic will be coming to us bit by bit. After all, in real life, Satan doesn’t come to us in full force. He comes to us bit by bit. Before you know, you have given up on your God or Allah.
We ask the Government of Ghana to investigate the claim made by the Minority that the Government of Sweden gave us $22 million to start this process of homosexuality. The report of this investigation should be made public to the people of Ghana before 2020.
We would wish there is NO future consultation on CSE but should there be one, the only item on the agenda is to find ways to uproot CSE completely from anywhere it is printed on any paper. If we try to find any way to make it better, I can assure my fellow Ghanaians that “it is bound to happen”
Ghanaians should have by now made up their minds that any government who tries to make Comprehensive Sexuality Education any better, is evil, satanic and devilish. That government should not rule past the next elections.
Signed
Dr. Lawrence
Convenor
