Why should our children pay the ultimate price of death because of Education?
The issue is getting out of hand and everyone is quiet about it.
Should they all die before we begin to talk? Why have our media and all [ads1]of us become cowards under this government?
Are we quite because it is free SHS?
Where are our think tanks, where are the civil society organizations, where is Christian council, where are our loud men of God? Are we all happy with the happenings in our schools which are causing the deaths of our children?
Now the death toll is almost twenty and more than one hundred have been hospitalized.
A tragedy that has ever befallen our schools since creation.
A tragedy we brought onto ourselves because we want to fulfill our campaign promises as politicians by all means.
A tragedy our parents cannot talk about because they are not paying for their wards Education.
A tragedy our headmaster are afraid to open up to discuss because of the threats from the government.
A tragedy that has made Senior High Education in Ghana a death trap.
Why should our children suffer and pay the ultimate price of death for seeking Education?
Fear has gripped our children in the various schools across the country.
Yes they are afraid, they are afraid because they don’t know who will be next to collapse.
They are afraid because they don’t know who will be the next to be rushed to the hospital.
They are afraid because No one knows who will be the next to die.
Why should our children go through all these traumas because of free Education while our Education minister is a medical doctor?
Why should our minister’s advice and endorse our children to be allowed to sleep in congested rooms of over 100studentd to one room? Are they prisoners?
Why should our ministers endorse for students to sleep on football fields, classrooms and verandas all because Education are free.
The question is will our ministers subject their children to these inhumane treatments because of Education?
Dr Otabil advised us but we were more interested in the free instead of the thinking of the possible consequences of the free.
Dr Addo Kuffour advised his own government to plan the program very well and pilot it before beginning the full-scale implementation. But he was ignored.
Mr President our Children are dying.
Our Children are dying and you are in Liberia receiving honorary doctorate.
Our Children are dying of meningitis as a result of congestion and our Vice President used over one billion cedis for renaming a sports stadium.
Our children are dying and my vice president is buying free google apps for one hundred and fifty billion CEDI’s.
Our children are dying Mr. President and you could do is to wait for them to die so that you give them 5000Gh for their funeral.
Our children are dying and our Vice President is going around promising bank account for everyone.
We need to rise as country and demand answers from the government and call for decongestion of our schools to prevent further unfortunate deaths.
The leadership of NUGS should as well rise to put pressure on the government to do the right thing to save our children for dying.
Who will speak for our children?
Who will be the voice of our voiceless children?
Where is Our Free SHS ambassador?
At this stage all we can do is to pray for our children because no one knows who will be next to go.
