In the lead up to the 2016 general elections, the Leader and Founder of Glorious Waves Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, who had forecasted a one-touch victory for then-President John Dramani Mahama, said with the then opposition NPP bent on winning the elections at all cost, he foresaw the party plunging the country into fits of violence and chaos.
Prophet Badu Kobi again prophesized that a popular flag bearer of one of the leading political parties will fall and faint in the heat of the 2016 election campaign. He however implored Ghanaians to pray to avert the calamity.

The Leader and Founder of Glorious Waves Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi who has forecasted a one-touch victory for President John Dramani Mahama again prophesized that a popular flag bearer of one of the leading political parties will fall and faint in the heat of the 2016 election campaign.
Prophet Kobi, who is popularly known as celebrities’ pastor, implored Ghanaians to pray to avert the impending calamity to befall the said popular presidential candidate.
Short of disclosing the identity of the flag bearer to be affected, the renowned man of God disclosed at an all-night service, Friday, that “let’s pray for the presidential candidate, I want to keep the name because some people might go out giving wrong meaning to what I am saying,” he said.
Turning his attention to crucial November elections, at the time Ghanapoliticsonline.Com reporter was present, Prophet Kobi said Ghanaians would have to pray for peaceful elections because the opposition New Patriotic Party wants to win the election at all cost, adding, that is what will generate the problems.
“I saw NPP shooting and creating problems, we have to pray against the war in Ghana. 2016 elections must be peaceful, no all-die-be-die,” he stated.
Early last year, the Prophet Kobi, who is known for giving cars to celebrities, described to GhanaPoliticsOnline.Com that, NPP’s internal wrangling as unfortunate, “The people [Leadership] in the NPP are not asking questions – why is it that Nana Addo has represented the party three times without victory? They are making mistakes believing Nana Addo is still popular.”
“Nana Addo is affecting the NPP seriously, he is affecting the party’s finance, and he is not as popular as they think. Nana Addo must purge himself. Certain things are pulling him back and it is from the early stages of his life. He should investigate this or go to a man of God to diagnose him and tell him his problems”
“…He must avail himself to break free. When spirits are dealing with you, it’s not a joke. You must avail yourself by a man, who is sent –a directed man, then he will free (you), otherwise, he will always get the 49.99% in any presidential election,” he noted.
