Those who can’t contest sacrificed to make you MP – Efo Worlanyo replies Dzata

Efo Worlanyo and Sam George

The Bono Regional Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo has hit back at the member of Parliament for Ningo Prapram, Sam George reminding him “those hungry emotional people who cannot pick forms and contest MP were those who sacrificed their lives and made you the Hon. you call yourself today”

Mr. Tsekpo was responding to Sam George’s assertion that those members of the opposition NDC who feel that the NDC MPs on the Appointment Committee cannot do enough should pick forms the next primaries and contest to be MPs.

“It is annoying and irritating seeing the disparaging and demeaning commentary being propagated by members of the NDC against the Parliamentary Caucus of the Party reference the upcoming vetting process. The suggestion that we are a group of sell-outs who have no spine is insulting.” – Sam George posted on his Facebook page.

“I believe in the sense of camaraderie in the NDC Caucus. I believe in the integrity of our Members on the Appointments Committee. I trust our Leadership. We would act in the ultimate best interest of Party and Country. This involves putting tact, strategy and wisdom over emotions. If you have a problem with that, kindly pick forms the next time nominations are opened and contest to become an MP and come and do the blow man things you are posting about.” – He added

His comment has since generated huge public debates from amongst members of the NDC with some members predicting he will lose the next primaries.

Efo Worlanyo joined scores of NDC grassroots supports reminding the MP that:

Those hungry emotional people who cannot pick forms and contest Mp were those who sacrificed their lives and made you the Hon. you call yourself Today

The vociforus youth leader took to his facebook page to explain that “We trust them [NDC MPs on the Appointment Committee] to the core that’s why we echoing with emotions that those who closed down our radio gold and our other stations must face the music, thus why we asking that people like Nitiwul and Abrous Dery who were in charge of our security when 8 of our comrades were shot dead and others currently paralyzed must not be entertained and many others whose names are out there…”

No one is accusing our hardworking MPs of anything.. We saw their sacrifices on the floor and we will continue to support them with our emotions since we can’t all pick forms to contest.
All we asking them which we know they will do is to prevent some dangerous elements of the Npp from sailing through this vetting.. Is it too much to ask?
See the composition of the committee from our side, very solid! Full of men and women of integrity. We trust them to the core that’s why we echoing with emotions that those who closed down our radio gold and our other stations must face the music, thus why we asking that people like Nitiwul and Abrous Dery who were in charge of our security when 8 of our comrades were shot dead and others currently paralyzed must not be entertained and many others whose names are out there…
I stood helplessly and watched a youngman who was shot by Npp guys died in Wenchi hospital and no one has been arrested till date thus why we are emotional. Echoeing these emotions doesn’t mean we don’t trust our Mps.
We know the sacrifices they have made and still making for us and we will continue to pray for them with emotions because that’s the only power we have now since we all can’t pick forms and contest parliamentary seats in our various constituencies.
Shalom.
