The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has double counter the New Patriotic Party’s Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to answer the five pressing questions he posed on Ghana’s economy, rather than asking another “useless” set of questions.

This comes in response to Dr Bawumia’s recent respond to Mahama’s five questions with another set of 50 questions.

Addressing a rally in the Savelugu Constituency on today, October 30, 2024 Mahama lamented Vice President Bawumia’s level of understanding of the current state of the economy.

Mahama maintained that the issues he questioned on are pertaining to the daily lives of Ghanaians (the economy), including why he Dr. Bawumia has all of a sudden shift his focus from Economic Management to Digitalization, since he was presented to Ghanaians in 2016 as the economic Messiah.

The five questions Mahama asked the vice president are;

Mahama's questions to Bawumia

Mahama said “I woke up this morning and saw 50 questions from him. It looks like our Vice President has just memorised these things like we used to learn poems in primary school.

“I asked you five simple questions that Ghanaians want you to answer, and instead, you respond with, ‘How many compost plants did you build?’ That’s not the issue in Ghana today.

Taken a page out of the 1992 U.S. election, expressing Clinton campaign’s famous slogan, Mahama said, “It’s the economy, stupid!” “I am repeating those words. This election is about the economy, Stupid. It is not about all those useless things who built how many compost plants.”
