There’s no lithium mining in Breman Essiam – Chief

The Palace of Breman Essiam has debunked rumors that it has granted a permit to a certain company to exploit lithium in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam district.

The Palace, in a statement, disclosed that though Essiam has been captured on the operational map of the lithium company, the Palace is not privy to the report of the recently executed exploration in some parts of the town.

The part of the statement reiterated that absolutely no core mining of lithium has commenced in Essiam or any part of Essiam lands, and no official discussion has taken place with the minerals commission or any party involved.

This affirms the commitment of Essiaman to ensuring that the exploitation of the supposed lithium is done in a way that accords with the interests of the indigenes.

It further assured its citizens of fair deals, adding that it welcomes any business operations that will open an avenue for job opportunities and business to thrive.

It stated that the Palace is in the spirit of transparency, anchored on integrity and trust, for the benefit of the Essiam Town folks, who are the true owners of the resources.
