There’ll be no sense in dissing Sarkodie – Edem

Award winning Ghanaian rapper, Edem has debunked claims that his popular song ‘Hyeba’ is a diss song directed at Sarkcess music boss, Micheal Owusu Addo aka Sarkodie.

According to Edem, there is no sense in dissing his colleague Sarkodie as both of them have their unique styles.

Speaking on Kumasi based Luv FM as monitored by Awake ShowBiz, Denning Edem Hotor known on stage as Edem explained that in the face of hip pop there is always a competition but ‘Hyeba’ song was never directed at sarkodie.

He stated that though they are all loved by Ghanaians, they represent two different ethnic groups.

“I don’t think that going at Sarkodie will be a good thing to do because I represent a group of people. Even though I’m loved by Ghana, I’m seen as somebody representing ewes and he is seen as somebody who is a Twi artiste even though he is love by all Ghanaians”.

“It will be wrong for us to send a message in a country where we are still struggling with tribalism. When we go at each other it’s not right,” he added.
