GOVERNMENT INFLATES COST OF COVID VACINNES FOR GHANAIANS
The Nana Addo led government has been caught in yet another dubious deal. Sputnik V Vaccines is used for COVID 19 vaccination. The producers of this vaccine had communicated to the world that, no country or individual should procure or purchase this vaccine anywhere for over 10 dollars. The Nana Addo led NPP government is the only government in the world to purchase this vaccine for 19 dollars. The reason to Ghanaians is that they used a middle man. However, after paying the middleman all these monies, the country doesn’t know when it will get the vaccines for vaccination.
PRESIDENT COMMISSIONS ZOOMLION’S WASTE TRUCKS
In its desperate attempt to claim achievements, President Akufo-Addo commissioned some trucks procured by Zoomlion Ghana Ltd.
It will be recalled that as part of the lofty promises prior to becoming president in 2016, Nana Addo promised to make Accra the cleanest city in Africa in his first term. Ghanaians voted for him and after his first term as president, he has however failed woefully to deliver on this promise as with many other promises. Accra is filthier today than ever.
GOVERNMENT USES POLICE TO CAUTION THE PUBLIC AGAINST FIXTHECOUNTRY DEMO
The Akufo-Addo government is using the police to frustrate citizens right to the freedom of assembly and government is using the Ghana Police Service suppress freedom at assembly and demonstration. This is part of the grand agenda to repress free speech.
Experts say contrary to the police interpretation of the Supreme Court ruling, the right to freedom of assembly and demonstration is a constitutional right and the police have no power to prevent citizens from demonstrations.
ATEWA GALAMSEY OPERATIVES SING IN COURT AFTER GETTING GHC 350K BAIL
Readers may recall that some operatives were arrested in the Atewa forest for indulging in illegal mining. When they were arrested, one of the arrested operatives said they were members of the NPP and their activities in the forest cover was sanctioned by the presidency and went farther to dare the Presidency. At the Koforidua High Court this week saw these operatives granted bail, just after the bail was granted, the said operatives were heard singing heartily in the court room. This was to show appreciation to the Presidency for coming to their aid.
PAY OR DIE, THE AGONY OF A PREGNANT WOMAN
The health sector is a critical sector that every government needs to give it the utmost attention. A recent investigative piece uncovers that pregnant women pay huge sum of amount before they can deliver in our hospitals. Those who are unable to afford the cost are left with no option than to pay, go on borrowing spree or face death. National Health Insurance Card owners are told to make down payment before service is rendered. This is the state of our health sector.
