It will surely be a great surprise to any person who hears from a political activist of NDC saying that he or she is oblivious to the impending election on 7th December, 2020.
The BIG QUESTION is that, in as much as we are all aware of the impending election, are we battle ready for the task ahead and are we doing everything humanly possible to make our VICTORY see the light of day?
YES, the Victory of H/E John Dramani Mahama as President and Hon. Abdul Latif Dan (Minister) as Member of Parliament in Ablekuma central is achievable and very much possible if we all put our shoulders to the wheel and fight for a common course.
It is against this background that I call for UNITY OF PURPOSE going into the election, which is just about 8 months away from now. I believe most comrades will agree with me that, we must all not think the same way before we can collectively get things done, likewise in politics we may have our differences even within one party but that is not a recipe to wish evil or the downfall of the collective interest of the party. Therefore going into the elections in 2020, I can only urge all of us to be united for the common purpose, that is the purpose of winning back the seat in Ablekuma Central with Hon. Abdul Latif Dan as MP and maximizing the votes of H/E John Mahama.
This I dare say is very much achievable and we all owe it a duty as worthy comrades to make it happen.
I may not know everything in NDC in Ablekuma Central Constituency, but it will be very hard to convince me that, disunity is not one of the major factors responsible for our misfortunes. This being the case, it is incumbent on all of us to do our possible best to come together not necessarily as friends but for common course; which is *VICTORY* in the 2020 elections.
How do we achieve this unity?
1. It’s a fact that, NDC has only one flagbearer i.e John Mahama and in Ablekuma Central we also one PC i.e Abdul Latif Dan. What the BIG UMBRELLA experts all of us to do, is to support both our PC and Presidential candidate to achieve the victory we all clamour for. There is always time for Primaries but it’s over now and we must all respectfully do well to accept the choice of the masses(electorates), fighting the choice of electorates is fighting the party. It is someone today and it will obviously be you someday and as the Holy Book puts it “Do unto others what you want others to do unto you”
2. No one enters politics without any ambition but great politicians are those who makes their ambitions known at the right time. It’s the turn of H/E John Mahama and Hon. Abdul Latif Dan and we must all support them and shelve our ambitions. These are two men whom the party’s rank and file through delegates have elected to lead the US at the national and Constituency level respectively going into the elections in 2020. It will not be out of place to shelve all ambitions in this regard as we all fight for a common course. I believe I will NOT be wrong to say that WINING THE SEAT IN ABC AND THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION SHOULD BE BIGGER THAN ANY AMBITION, AT LEAST FOR NOW!.
3. Last but not least, it is incumbent on the party executives and the P.C to do everything within their power to make cool heads prevail and if there are any CAMPS after the primaries, try bringing everyone on board to achieve the victory and Success we all yearn for.
SINCERELY speaking, it will be a BIG DREAM or perhaps a WORSE NIGHTMARE for any worthy comrade to think that without HARD WORK our victory as a party will matetialise. Let’s all put our shoulders to the wheel to see the vehicle of NDC moving.
It was a wonderful move by the Executive committee of A.B.C getting various working committes in place, to assist the Constituency executives in the successful operation of the party. I don’t have any course to believe that the committees are not working BUT I can confidently say that, performance of the various committtees are BELOW AVERAGE and we must step up our efforts with the Constituency working committees. I therefore urge the constituency Chairman and the PC to task all the heads of the various working committees and update the PC/Executives at least every two weeks on the work of the various committees.
TO WIN ELECTION 2020, UNITY OF PURPOSE AND HARDWORK ARE THE TWO MOST IMPORTANT INGREDIENTS FOR OUR SUCCESS!!!.
