Kade based youth activist of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP),  Kweku Yeboah Addo has descended heavily Dr. Gideon Boako, the Spokesperson of the Vice President asking him to stop attacking Prof. John Gatsi and explain to the NPP and government why he [Dr. Boako] has disgraced his boss, Dr Bawumia and government’s economic record on Citi TV.

In an article, Mr. Yeboah Addo “Ghanaians including my good self watched an interesting discussion about the economy especially on the famous statement by Dr Bawumia referencing strong fundamentals. During the discussion, l was shocked and angry that Dr Gideon Boako representing our party, our government and the Vice President agreed to all the technical simplification provided by Prof. John Gatsi.”

This he said, “Dr. Boako disgraced the Vice President by saying on live tv that he does not agree with Dr Bawumia that exchange rate is the most important indicator of strong fundamentals though Dr Bawumia is known to have said if the fundamentals are weak the exchange rate will expose you.”

According to him “Dr Boako shockingly agreed that the FX Development Committee is ill-conceived and amounts to political interference in the work of the BoG and violates article 183 of the Constitution”

Last week, Citi TV’s Bernard Avle hosted both Prof. John Gatsi, an Economist and the Dean of UCC Business School and Dr. Gideon Boako on his Point of View programme to the discuss “How strong are the economic fundamentals”.

Dr. Boako disgraced the Vice President by saying on live tv that he does not agree with Dr Bawumia that exchange rate is the most important indicator of strong fundamentals though Dr Bawumia is known to have said if the fundamentals are weak the exchange rate will expose you.

Dr. Boako also agreed that IMF was not the cause of the 13% depreciation but the government excessively depleted the international reserves

Dr Boako also agreed that comparing 2015 a well known period of economic difficulty with the collapse of commodity prices and the harsh effect of the energy crisis to 2019 is not proper

Dr Boako further agreed that tax revenue is only sufficient to cover compensation and interest repayment

Dr Boako shockingly agreed that the FX Development Committee is ill-conceived and amounts to political interference in the work of the BoG and violates article 183 of the Constitution

Before we complain about the rather weak destruction of Bawumia and the government to the office of the Vice President and Finance Minister, some senior party members had already reported.

Instead of, apologizing to the party and Vice President, Dr. Gideon Boako has since Friday pleading with our bloggers to launch attack on Prof Gatsi who practically made Ghanaians feel the destruction of depreciation on almost everybody. Maybe Dr Boako thinks we will change our minds about him.

Stop attacking him and explain why you disgraced and destroy the credibility of our economic management and the Vice President

Why are you not attacking Mr Bernard Avle mocked you and told you , you are contradicting yourself .
