A group calling itself Concerned Youth of Bawku NPP have jumped to the defence of the Bawku Municipal Chief Executive, Hawa Nichema saying “some unjoin hands within the New Patriotic Party are using the Assembly Members to oust the MCE simply because they have failed to get her involved in corrupt acts”
According to the group in a press statement copied Awake News and signed by its Convenor, Seidu A. Issah has described as baseless, witchcraft and political witch hunting all the allegations being levelled against the MCE.
“No mind can further the claim that she has poor personal relationships and thus betrays that trust reposed in the assembly members. Thus, the general public should note, the attempt by some political elements claim out, most especially within the ruling government in Bawku who are bent on using the office of honourable Hawa Ninchema to twist the arm of good governance and to satisfy their personal aggrandisements is a well-established fact” – the statement said
“We are deeply aware of unjoin hands within the New Patriotic Party that are using the assembly members to oust the MCE simply because they have failed to get her involved in corrupt acts. The attempts to use honourable Hawa Ninclema as a conjoint to institutionalised a divide and rule system to the detriment of good governance is what we shall resist” – the statement added
Again Mr. Issah said “The claim that honourable Hawa Nichema does things without the approval of members of the assembly, is without bases and unmeritorious. It’s simply an imaginative allegation that lacks substance. There is no iota of evidence of any relevant value to such accusations. They are simply born out of sheer personal vendetta, mischief and a well-calculated scheme to accomplished an ill-conceived motive”

The issues raised against the municipal chief executive are nothing but well-rehearsed scouting for information. Its open secret that, honourable Hawa Ninchema has so far elicited open leadership and her doors are opened to the residence of Bawku.
No mind can further the claim that she has poor personal relationships and thus betrays that trust reposed in the assembly members.

This sheer political witch hunting by the assembly members is an echoed in their claim that, honourable Hawa leadership has led to the reduction of income level for the assembly. This is pure witchcraft or ignorance or both. How on earth should anyone assume that Honourable Hawa Ninchema will be responsible for revenue collection?. The assembly members should have simply sought information of such relevance from the revenue generating authorities such as the internal revenue service and customs, and not to unfairly put the blame squarely at the doorsteps of the MCE. This is absolutely unfair and we the concerned youth of Bawku will stand up to such occasion and resist it.
The Achilles heals of the petition is the bogus claim that the MCE is incompetence because she is a subject of investigation having to do with her involvement in the purchase of an ambulance.
It’s our serious view, that, honourable Hawa Ninchema constitutional right of been assumed innocent until is proven guilty is been infringed upon. The fact that one is a subject of investigation does not make her guilty this is trite law and the so-called petitioners should know better. Its public knowledge that the MP honourable Mahama Ayariga has been charged by the special prosecutor and standing trials in that regard or issue. We strongly oppose the attempt to find her guilty even before giving her fair trial. This is obviously contemptuous since the case is a subject of adjudication.
We wish to sound loud and clear, that we will not fold our arms as a youth to allow injustice to be perpetrated on honourable Hawa Ninchema. We appreciate her limits efforts as a peacemaker and her crucial role in sustaining the peace that, we are currently enjoying in Bawku. We cannot allow few capricious elements to deny us of her services. History has clearly shown the leadership style of female appointees in Bawku and how they have positively impacted the lives of the residents. Honourable Hawa Ninchema is not an exception. We are very grateful for her motherly role and all the developmental policies we currently seeing in Bawku, including the numerous dams, road network, irrigation facilities and how communities are enjoying good drinking water through the drilling of numerous boreholes across the constituency under her leadership.
