The Vice President made the statement on Saturday, July 26, 2021 whiles addressing a gathering as the Special Guest at the 13th Congregation of Nana Opoku-Ampomah University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).

“As you enter the public sector,” he told the graduating class, “you will see that you will be challenged by demons and principalities. The demons and principalities are all over the place and you will have to fight them and we are going to fight them and we are going to win that fight too.”

This statement has attracted a huge public backlash with the Dean of the University of Cape Coast Business School, Prof. John Gtasi attributing the Vice President statement to what he described as “Policy saturation, failure fatigue, and frustration

Adding her voice, the NDC Communicate is chasing the Vice President, for the sake of the credibility point of those principalities.

“It is no doubt the NPP are election rigging Kingpins but trust me 2024 will shock them. They will break that 8 with koko and akara. How could a whole vice president reduce his economic knowledge to superstitious believes the cedi is no more suffering from the weak fundamentals but rather demons.”

“Dear Bawumia, kindly show Ghanaians those demons, we have to quench their evil spirits with prayers.” she added.
