The National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, Lawyer George Opare Addo has taken a swipe at Vice President Dr Mahmoud Bawumia claiming the latter has lost all credibility in the eyes of Ghanaians.
Mr Opare Addo was speaking as a guest on Epa Hoa Daben on Happy 98.9 FM when he made the comment in reaction to recent comments from the Vice President.
According to him, he’s considers it a waste of time to discuss the Vice President and his commentary because he has lost all credibility to the extent that Ghanaians do not take him serious due to how he has been acting.
“I find it difficult to discuss Dr Bawumia. Unfortunately, he’s the Vice President of this country but in the eyes of right thinking Ghanaians, he has no credibility largely because of how he had carried himself,” he said.
When the host of the show, Kwame Afrifa-Mensah probed further on his assertion, Lawyer Opare Addo indicated that even children associate Dr Bawumia with lying.
He said, “Children today in schools associate lies with Dr Bawumia so I do not discuss him, I do not waste my time on him.”
The NDC Commander was responding to recent comments by Vice President Dr Bawumia that sought to compare Dumsor with Covid-19. According Dr Bawumia, the NDC government did not not provide any relief or stimulus package to Ghanaians during the Dumsor crisis hence should be mute on their criticism on how his governmentia managing the pandemic and it’s effects of Ghanaians.
Meanwhile the Vice President has drawn the ire of Ghanaians with his comparison of Dumsor and Covid-19. Many people have expressed shock on how he sought to justify government’s efforts by comparing the two crisis.
