Sakumono Tennis Club Induct New Patrons

The Sakumono Tennis Club during the weekend inducted their new Patrons.

The four member Patrons were sworn in to oversee the activities of the current executives.

The new Patrons includes the former Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency, Honourable Irene Naa Torshie-Addo, Mr. Sammy Ewool, Mr. Kumordzie Dotse and Dr. Charles Asafo-Agyei.

Various citations, containing commendations and congratulatory messages were read and given to each of the new Patrons.

The induction also coincided with the Club’s inauguration of their refurbished Asphalt Tennis Court and Club House with a tournament and a dinner for the Kumasi 4 Garrison Officers Mess Tennis Club at Sakumono in Accra.

In honouring the former Member of Parliament, the Sakumono Club has named one of their tennis courts as the “IRENE NAA TORSHIE-ADDO TENNIS COURT”. This act of honour to her by the club were contained in a Citation that was read at the Dinner and Induction night.

The Club commended her for the immense contributions towards the refurbishment of the Court and the Clubhouse into an ultra modern tennis centre.

In a related story, two members of the Kumasi 4 Garrison Officers Mess Tennis Club were also inducted a Patrons in Kumasi.

The are the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP. Mensah Duku and Mr. Anthony Wularu, a Contractor.

The colourful event was to honour the two, for their dedication, patriotism and philanthropic acts to the club over the years, with Mr. Anthony Wularu been a long standing member of the 4 Garrison Officers Mess Club.
