Road safety campaigner advises Ghanaians to reduce night travelling

Kojo Adu, a Road Safety Campaigner, says the risk of travelling at night is three times higher than daytime travels in Ghana.

He mentioned poor night vision by most drivers, brain fatigue and failure to observe night driving precautions as some of the factors that contribute to most road accidents recorded in the night.

Speaking on Ahotor FM, Thursday, on road safety titbit and the need for drivers especially to be wary on the roads, Mr. Adu cited a couple of gory road accidents that occurred in the night.

He, therefore, advised people who are fond of travelling in the night to drastically reduce it to save their lives and dependants.

While he reminded drivers to reduce excessive speeding, Mr. Adu advised drivers to shun loud music in their vehicles.

Loud music, he explained impairs hearing when vehicles develop a deadly fault while the vehicles are in motion.

“The best driver is the one who arrives at their destinations safely,” Kojo Adu reminded commuters.
