Resign if you can’t work with the new constituency executives of NDC – Patrick Ahiabu

The Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), for the Akatsi North Constituency, Patrick Ahiabu has said any branch executive who is not willing or has any reason for not being ready to work with the newly elected constituency executives should resign.

Speaking to some branch executives at Ave-Dakpa on Wednesday, Mr. Ahiabu stated that it is their utmost responsibility to make sure those who were defeated at the just ended constituency delegates conference still remain loyal and ready to work with them as a team ahead of the 2020 general elections.

‘I know for a fact that some people within the party have already started creating and deepening alliances and factions within the party. It is also true that some of you here are being instigated to join such factions, but I advise you to resign if you’re not ready to work with us as the team”.

According to Hon. Ahiabu, his statement is not too far from what Nana Addo said in Koforidua over the weekend about the suspension of Mr. Paul Afoko and some other national executives of the NPP.

“We have to work as a team now and we won’t be ready to accommodate any of such factions that will push us further away from the seat of government in 2020″…he added.

Mr. Ahiabu is part of a team of newly elected constituency executives being led by the constituency chairman Mr. Richard Awudza, who are touring all 49 branches of the NDC in the Akatsi North Constituency.

The tour is to show appreciation to the members for their support and re-engage them on issues regarding the reorganization of the party ahead of the 2020 elections.
