Teacher unions on Tuesday demanded that the Ghana Education Service release the results of the promotion exams taken in March of this year with immediate effect.
According to a joint press release signed by Thomas T. Mussh, General Secretary of GNAT, Eric Agbe-Catbonu, President of NAGRAT, and King Ali Awudu, President of CCT-GH, if the March Senior Rank Promotion Exams result is not released by Friday, August 25, they will have no choice but to advise themselves.
Also, failure to release the March exams results per their initial agreement of writing two promotion exams within a year has aggravated the backlog that we all sort to clear and has further added to the woes of the teacher, thereby defeating the intention of writing the promotion exams, the teacher unions claimed.
The unions, namely, the Ghana Association of Teachers (GNAT), the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), and the Collation of Concern Teachers Ghana (CCT-GGH), are therefore demanding from the Ghana Education Service (GES) that it conduct the second promotion exam of the year 2023 and release its results before December 31, 2023.
