Refrain from attending Bawumia’s rally – NDC communicator cautions Akatsi youth

Japhet Festus Gbede, a communication team member of the opposition National Democratic Congress in Akatsi South, has warned local youths against supporting Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s (NPP) presidential bid.

In a statement, Mr. Gbede expressed concerns about Bawumia’s political record and urged the people of Akatsi South to carefully consider their options before making a final decision in the NPP’s upcoming internal elections.

The NDC communicator emphasized the importance of weighing the advantages and disadvantages of each candidate rather than following popular sentiment or superficial factors.

He encouraged the youths to conduct active research and dialogue about the issues and values that are most important to them, as well as the candidates’ previous actions and statements.

“I will like to reiterate the importance of maintaining a positive influence on our children in Akatsi South. It is imperative that we do not expose them to individuals who have been accused of dishonesty and deceit. As responsible members of this constituency, it is our duty to promote ethical values and principles that will shape the future of our society,” he stated.

Although Mr. Gbede did not explicitly endorse any particular candidate in the NPP, his statement implied a preference for someone other than Dr. Bawumia, whom he described as a “historic liar.”

“In light of recent events, I strongly advise against attending the upcoming event where Dr. Bawumia will be speaking. It has come to my attention that he has been labeled as the ‘biggest liar’, in the world, and such negative influences can have a detrimental effect on young minds,” he said.

He urged the youths to exercise their power as responsible citizens by voting wisely and thoughtfully and by holding their elected officials accountable for their promises and actions.

“I strongly want to advise the people of Akatsi South, especially our dear youths, to refrain from attending this unnecessary program if indeed his visit will not be an answer to the completion of our township roads, the extension of the Akatsi municipal hospital, the reshaping of my dear WUXOR, HAVE, and SREMANU roads, and all other most important projects dear to the development of our Akatsi South,” Mr. Gbede stated.

Warning the people of Akatsi South not to attend the political rally of the Vice President and the flagbearer hopeful of the NPP, Mr. Gbede stated that political decisions should be based on careful consideration and informed judgment rather than blind loyalty or emotional impulse.

“Dr. Bawumia has been repeatedly called out for his misleading statements and deceitful actions. It is important that we do not support such individuals who display a lack of integrity and honesty. Attending this program may only lead to being fed inaccurate and false information,” he stated.

“I urge all parents and guardians to keep their children away from this historic liar and instead focus on instilling positive values that will guide them towards a brighter future, he concluded. Dr. Bawumia, per the records, will be in Akatsi South Constituency tomorrow to interact with party executives and solicit their enforcement and support ahead of the November 4 NPP elections,” the statement added.
