POLITICS OF THREAT AND INTIMIDATION IN NPP KETU SOUTH NDC CALLS FOR CALM
The National Democratic Congress in Ketu South constituency has noticed with concern the threats, the beating and the intimidation in the NPP ahead of their parliamentary primaries slated for Saturday 28th September, 2019 at St. Paul’s Senior High School.
As a matter of fact. On Sunday, 22nd of September 2019, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Elliot Agbenorwu ( an aspirant) verbally assaulted one of the aspirants, Rev. Judith Ayivie and physically attacked the President of the Women Fellowship, Mad. Alice Tevia who at the end of the confrontation twisted her arms at Agavedzi during a church service. This recklessness on the part of the MCE brought the entire church service to a halt.
It is absolutely a serious matter for an MCE who doubles as a minister of the gospel in that church to accuse his fellow Rev minister in a church of dropping juju in his car. “What did you put in my car? Did you put juju in my car to kill me? I have little kids and a wife to take care of” Those were his reported comments.
The desperate MCE who wants to be a PC at all cost said on Victory Fm in Aflao when interviewed that Rev minister and Parliamentary aspirant Judith Ayivie said he the MCE will be fired within 21 days when she emerges as the winner of the PC race. This he said has put some sorts of fear in him making him behave the way he did.
Again, we were told by the MCE and Rev Judith Ayivie on victory fm that the matter had been resolved by five pastors of their church. Surprisingly these two individuals were scheduled for a debate today 26th September, 2019 , an event that the NDC went through successfully. However we are told by the host that Rev Judith Ayivie said she was advised by pastors never to appear on any show with the MCE in order to avoid confrontation.
This has confirmed the intelligence we pick which was also raised on air yesterday by an NPP communications team member that there is a threat coming from the MCE’s camp to beat people on the election day.
As stakeholders in the constituency that went through the same primaries few weeks ago successfully, we want to advice the NPP to emulate the NDC’s enviable track records . We say no to violence in politics no matter the party involved. I
Signed
