Mikel Arteta has vowed that Arsenal will not give up on the Premier League title race, despite falling 11 points behind leaders Liverpool.

Arsenal’s recent slip-up at home to West Ham, where they lost 1-0 due to a 44th-minute goal from Jarrod Bowen, was compounded by Liverpool’s win over Manchester City, extending their lead.

This loss was Arsenal’s first at the Emirates this season and comes amid a spate of injuries to key attacking players, including Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Kai Havertz.

Arteta expressed pride in the team’s resilience, stating that despite numerous challenges, including red cards and injuries, Arsenal’s position is stronger than expected.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards and continuous improvement.

Arteta rejected the idea that the title race is over, pointing out that the perception of the league changes frequently and Arsenal remains in contention.

Arsenal’s next challenge comes with a tough away game against Nottingham Forest, who are currently third in the table.

While Forest have struggled recently, they have shown they can be competitive, having taken points from Liverpool earlier in the season.
