Our goals must be specific, measurable and realistic – Dzifa Attivor

A former Transport Minister and aspirant for the Volta Regional Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress, Madam Dzifa Aku Attivor has said her vision is to unite the party in the region, coupled with specific, measurable and realistic goals that are time bound.

Madam Attivor who was speaking to Awakenews’ Abdul-Iddrisu Faisel, on Friday at the party’s regional office in Ho, disclosed that the only way to ensuring high votes and victory for the NDC in 2020 is to bring on board party stalwarts, cadres, drivers, market women who felt let down by the party.

“First of all, unity is key to our victory in 2020 and that’s what I intend to work on. We need to work together as one family, unity will ensure I am victorious and we will win power in 2020.”

“We need to bring everybody on board former appointees, our cadres, market women, who have been left without any specific program for them. Drivers; you know drivers are those who do the campaign, we need to bring them together under the umbrella, so that they can have confidence in us again and deliver the mandate for us.”

“You know we need the numbers, it is important for us. We can’t be fragmented to win elections”. She added.

Madam Attivor, stated further that the party at the regional level under her will design specific, measurable, realistic and time bound goals for the grassroots. An initiative she claimed would be replicated throughout the 10 regions of Ghana in ensuring electoral success for the party.

“We need to develop smart goals. Our goals must be specific, measurable, attenable, realistic, and time bound. You need to time your policies and delivery program so that within a certain period you find out how far you’ve gone.”

In Madam Attivor’s view, if these things are done, it will position the party in line with developing ideas that will meet the needs of the grassroots.
