The General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church, Pastor Mensa Otabil has once again responded to critics of his role in the collapse of Capital Bank by saying ‘God is Good’.
He made this response to his congregation during Sunday service at Abossey Okai in Accra.
He said, “I felt that as your pastor, I owe you an explanation, to come to church and to make a statement of what my views are so that when you go out and people come out with information, you will have a response to give to them”.
The man of God had earlier released a statement last week explaining his role at Capital Bank. He said he held a non-executive role in the bank, therefore, some of the financial decisions taken by the bank cannot be blamed on him.
He told the cheering congregation, ” These are the three statements I will make with regard to the response I want to give, which I expect you to carry along to explain what is happening.”
“My first statement is that God is good, my second statement is that God is good and my third statement is that, God is good.”
He continued: “You don’t come to church because of your pastor. You come to church to worship God, and, so, I want you to keep your eyes on Him and to worship Him and to focus on Him.”
