Okoe Boye donate beds to Lekma hospital

Member of the seventh Parliament of the fourth republic of Ghana representing the Ledzokuku Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye has donated beds to the Lekma hospital in Accra.

According to the politician this was in fulfillment of a request made 3months ago.

Dr. Okoe Boye took to his facebook wall on Monday, January 11, 2021 and wrote; “Was a great moment today at my first Monday consultations in 2021. Had the privilege of presenting some Hospital beds to the LEKMA hospital in fulfillment of a request made 3months ago”.

Prior to this, he admonished that “your tenure as an elected officer might expire but not your position as an agent of goodness and service”.

He stressed that “these are not normal times and therefore urged every citizen to “KINDLY put on your mask always for the virus still lurks around seeking people to devour”.

It will be recalled that Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye failed to retain the parliamentary seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the recently held election.

Okoe Boye was elected MP for Ledzokuku Constituency in the Greater Accra region on December 7, 2016 and was sworn in on January 7, 2017. He is a member of the Health and Government Assurances Committees of Parliament.

On April 4th, 2020, Oko-Boye was nominated by President Akufo-Addo to serve as a deputy health minister and was subsequently sworn in on April 21, 2020.  He however lost the parliamentary seat in the 2020 general polls to Benjamin Ayiku Nartey of the NDC.
