Ofosu Ampofo must answer questions on kidnappings in Takoradi – Women group demands

Women of Faith and Substance (WOFAS) are calling for the immediate arrest of National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.

Their call comes on the heels of a recent leaked audio of Samuel Ofosu Ampofo which details how the NDC is planning series of insurrections in the country.

Reacting to the tape, members of WOFAS expressed their displeasure and noted that they “cannot believe that as a country with laws, a whole National Chairman of a political party has been audibly heard planning to cause mayhem to the good people of Ghana and the long arm of the law has been deafeningly silent?”.

In a press release signed by its leaders, the group questioned the IGP on why Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo is still walking a free man.

WOFAS said they are convinced that per the audio, the NDC is behind the recent abductions of children in the Secondi-Takoradi, a more reason Mr. Ofosu Ampofo must be arrested on the charges of “kidnappings and abductions and a conspiracy to commit further crimes (kidnappings)”.

“Anything short of this demand would trigger series of justifiable actions aimed at ensuring that the “Animal Farm” kind of system is aborted forthwith. Mr. IGP, your lackadaisical response to these happenings is eroding the confidence we reposed in you. We demand only one thing, and that is you arresting criminal-minded Ofosu Ampofoh to face our wrath,” the group noted.
