Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who were at the Legon Botanical Garden yesterday were not only there to observe the one-week ceremony of late Dr. Kwabena Adjei but to also use the platform to warn their political opponents about the coming of John Mahama in 2020.
The mourners including National Chairman of the party, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Women’s Organizer Hanna Bissiw and former Akwatia MP, Baba Jamal were captured jamming to ‘Wobete Bobolebo’ as they pay their respects to the late patriot.
The ‘Wobete Bobolebobo’ is the official campaign song for Flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama.
Dr. Kwabena Adjei died at age 76 on March 12, 2019 at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital.
He was a former Chairman of the NDC and Member of Parliament for Biakoye.
The one-week memorial celebration was attended founder of the NDC, Jerry John Rawlings, 2020 Presidential candidate, John Mahama executives and leading members of the party.
Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu also joined the NDC and family to mourn the late politician.
The late Dr. Kwabena Adjei will be buried at Nkonya in the Volta Region on Saturday, June 1, after a memorial service in Accra on May 31.
