The queen mother of Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Nana Awo Yaa Amankwah I, has enstooled the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as Ntentankesehene, which translates to English as ‘Chief of the Web or Internet.’
The Vice President received this honor during a courtesy call on the queen mother at her palace on Friday, August 9, 2024. The NPP also used the occasion to introduce their parliamentary candidate, Frank Annoh-Dompreh.
Speaking at the event, Nana Amankwah I acknowledged the NPP flagbearer’s digitization vision, describing it as a magnificent initiative.
She later pleaded with Ghanaians to give Alhaji Bawumia the opportunity to lead the country and implement his digitization concepts.
The queen mother said, “I thank God for bringing Bawumia to my palace today. It’s historic for the people of Nsawam, as it portrays his knowledge of tradition and customs. I’m very grateful. I believe his digitization agenda shall come to pass; hence, we install him as Ntentankesehene.”
