Cynthia Afoko, the daughter of the former New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman, Mr Paul Afoko, has stormed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Wing demonstration dubbed “March for Justice” to also demand justice for her uncle.
Gregory Afoko and two others were accused of murdering the Upper West NPP Regional Chairman, Alhaji Mahama in 2015.
According to Cynthia Afoko, her uncle, Gregory Afoko is in police custody for the past six years despite been granted bail by the court of competent jurisdiction.
Ms. Cynthia Afoko was spotted by the alhajj.com holding a placard with inscriptions, “Justice for Gregory Afoko Now”, “Polorize Judicial System, Free Gregory Afoko Now”.
In an interview with this portal at the side of the demonstration, Cynthia Afoko slammed the polorarised judicial system under the Akufo Addo/ Bawumia led administration of deliberately keeping her uncle in police custody despite been granted bail by the court.
She is calling on the right thinking moral society to demand justice for Gregory Afoko.
“My uncle’s current health is not the best, the family want him home so we can take care and give him better medical attention”, she stated.
