The Deputy Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress for the Savannah Region, R.A Jalil, has disclosed that the family and the NDC party took a decision to fence the grave of Emmanuel Adama Mahama, father of former President John Dramani Mahama at Bole with barbed wire and a security man stationed there to stop the constant fetching of sand from the grave by suspected NPP members for “juju”.
R.A. Jalil explained to Bole based Nkilgi FM’s morning show (Kokokiliyakoo) on June 15, 2020, that the fencing of the wall is a big worry for NPP hence issuing a press statement on what happened at the graveyard of the father of John Dramani Mahama when he visited Bole on June 14, 2020.
Mr.Jalil said anyone who makes any attempt to fetch sand from the compound or gravesite of E.A. Mahama again will have himself to blame.
According to him, they have evidence of a land cruiser vehicle moving all the way from Accra to Bole to fetch sand in the compound of the late E.A Mahama in 2016, the vehicle bolted when some people tried to interrogate the suspects.
The Savannah Region NDC Communication Officer made these comments in response to a statement signed by the NPP Communication Director for the Bole- Bamboi Constituency Sulemana Kadir (Alhaji Aseaku Mugabe) that “more than hundred (100) supporters of NDC were seen gathered around the graveyard of the late father of the former president with many not wearing a facemask or not observing the social distancing protocols of novel COVID-19”.
R.A. Jalil said 100 people cannot enter the inner perimeter of the fence of E.A. Mahama’s grave all the people around the former president wore face masks in accordance with the safety protocols.
