NPP, NDC Communicators exchange blows at Splash FM studio

There was a fight between two communicators of the governing New Patroric Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Assin Central Constituency in the studios of Assin Fosu based Splash FM.

The NPP Communicator, Fredrick Assumang popularly known as Uncle Attoh and NDC’s  Lawrence Dankwa also known as Monney were both on Splash FM’s morning show ‘Maakye’ Thursday, April 18 to discuss political issues but ended up exchanging blows due to a misunderstanding.

A witness who happens to be in the studios during the incident narrates that the two politicians started fighting after a misunderstanding over abandoned projects of the erstwhile John Mahama government by the Akufo-Addo led NPP government.

According to him, NDC’s Monney argued that the current government abandoned all the projects started by the former government and cited a Day Senior High School building located at Adanse Apadwa in the Adase South District.

But NPP’s uncle Attoh rubbished this claim and alleged that the said project was not fully completed but the NDC government intentionally painted the outer side of the building to deceive Ghanaians and score cheap political points.

These comments resulted in a heated argument between the two. They threatened each other in the process but were calmed by staff of radio station present.
