Information available to Awake News suggests that unlike the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) that went round to consult Ghanaians to develop their manifesto for the 2020 elections, the NPP allegedly hired consultants to develop their manifesto at the cost of GHc1 million.
The South African consultants were expected to deliver the manifesto to the NPP before the launch but unfortunately, they were not able to meet the July 15, 2020 deadline.
Barring any last-minute changes, the NPP will not be able to launch its manifesto on August 22 as planned. At best they may just speak to some issues to create the impression that the manifesto is ready even though it’s not ready.
Deep throat sources within the party suggest that the party has launched a manhunt for the NDC’s People’s Manifesto alleging the ruling New Patriotic Party is prepared to pay as much as $200,000 to lay hands on their opponent’s manifesto.
If readers can recall, the ruling NPP mocked the opposition NDC for lacking ideas, a reason they said the NDC was seeking ideas and consulting Ghanaians to help them develop their 2020 Manifesto.
The NDC said their Peoples’ Manifesto is ready and will be launched this month.
Watch out for more updates…
