The National Democratic Congress NDC Parliamentary Aspirant for Awutu Senya East Constituency in the Central Region Phyllis Naa Koryoo Okunor has accused the ruling New Patriotic Party NPP of pulling down her campaign bill boards.
In a statement the aspirant described as shameful for the ruling party to hide under the cover of darkness to pull down bill boards displaying images of the former President John Mahama and herself.
She further described the act as dirty tactics employed by the NPP who are known for lawlessness and violence which they deployed in the 2020 elections.
She stated that the contest for political office must be one of track record and ideas and not on hooliganism.
“I am by this release serving notice that if they don’t desist from this thuggery and outmoded behaviour, they will be overwhelmed by the forces of resistance they will meet” she noted.
After reporting the matter to the police as law demands, she urged them to do their work in investigating and apprehend those criminals behind the archaic behaviour as soon as possible and expressed the hope that they don’t treat the matter as other cases that have been reported to them by the NDC.
She added that should the police fail to take action she will not be blamed for any reaction that may arise from her comrades as she is struggling to calm tensions among party members.
“To the NPP, this is a new day. Do not start a war you cannot finish”

NPP Destroys Naa Koryoo Bill Boards at ASEC.
The NPP and her agents have shamefully in the cover of night pulled down bill boards displaying images of HE John Mahama and myself (Phyllis Naa Koryoo Okunor)
It goes without saying that this party intends to employ the same lawlessness and violence they thrived on in the 2020 elections here in ASEC.
They are hereby reminded that the contest for political office must be one of track record and ideas and not hooliganism.
I am by this release serving notice that if they don’t desist from this thugry and outmoded behaviour, they will be overwhelmed by the force of resistance they will meet.
After reporting the matter to the police as law demands, I urge them to do their part in investigating and apprehending those criminals behind this archaic behaviour as soon as possible. I hope they dont treat it as all other cases that have been reported to them by the NDC.
Should the police fail, I will not be blamed for any reaction that may arise from my comrades as I am struggling to calm tensions at the moment.
To the NPP, this is a new day. Do not start a war you cannot finish.
A word to the wise!!!
Signed
Phyllis Naa Koryoo Okunor.
