The salaries of seven ministers in the Ministeries of Communication and Information could cost the nation, Ghana about GHC1.08million under the governing New Patriotic Party led by President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Bawumia.

[ads1]These two ministries, Ministry of Information and Ministry of Communication were merged under former President Mahama and managed by three ministers (a Minister and two deputies) and cost the nation GH¢259,000 per year.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has appointed a total number of 110 people to serve as ministers, ministers of state and deputies in his administration, the highest in the country’s history.

Out of the total 110, 20 are Regional Ministers and their Deputies, 40 ministers for various ministries, with 50 deputies.

This comes to mind the total cost for the nation on the 110 ministers in terms of salary alone considering the fact the current NPP government has accused the former NDC administration with 84 ministers of collapsing the economy.

Approximately, Ghana is like to spend close to GH¢9,504,000 per year on the salaries of its 110 minister under President Akufo-Addo.
