Mr. Mahama was address the press a whiles ago on the Supreme Court’s ruling on the matters the new voters register brought before it by the NDC.

The NDC sued the Electoral Commission for excluding the old Voters ID card as part of the primary documents for the registration in the new voters register.

The NDC argued that excluding the voters ID and only accepting Ghana card and Ghanaian passport which many do not have will end up disenfranchising many Ghana hence seeking the apex court to intervene.

The Supreme Court today, however, in a ruling that left many Ghanaians and even lawyers confused ruled in favour of the Electoral Commission.

This the former President said Ghanaians should try and endure the challenges and frustrations that the decision to exclude the old voter ID card turn out in their numbers to register.

According to Mr. Mahama, the best way the citizens can vent their anger on this power desperate NPP led agenda is to register and vote them out of power.

The Electoral Commission’s announcement later last year to compile a new voters register has been met with tough opposition from the public.

Some political parties, civil society organization, trade and professional bodies, the clergy have all kicked against the idea but the EC insisted it will go ahead with the exercise.
