Franklin Cudjoe, the Founding President of the policy think tank of IMANI Africa has taken on persons associated with taking the crucial decision on the fate of the people of SALL.

The Hohoe disputed parliamentary results has spark a lot of public outrage as parts of the constituency believed to be strongholds of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is alleged the EC deliberately disenfranchise these people to give the Energy Minister Mr. Peter Amewu an upper hand to win the seat on the ticket of the NPP.

In adding his voice and expressing his view on the issue which is currently moved to the supreme court in a Facebook post revealed ballots papers were printed by the Electoral Commission for the people of Santrokofi, Lolobi, Akpafu, and Likpe to vote in Hohoe. Adding that it was “then on the eve of Dec 7, the EC through the connivance of vested interests issued the most barbaric order to these human beings not to vote”.

Read his full; “Ballots were apparently printed for Santrokofi, Lolobi, Akpafu and Likpe to vote in Hohoe. Then on the eve of Dec 7, the EC through the connivance of vested interests issued the most barbaric order to these human beings not to vote. No decent human being anywhere in robes, wigs or suit should be seen encouraging such”.

The NDC, through a lawsuit at the Ho High Court, secured an injunction on the parliamentary results pending the ratification of the violation of the constitutional right of these citizens. However, the Attorney General through an ex parte filed a motion on behalf of Peter Amewu at the supreme court praying the court to quash the order from the High court.

The case is today 4th, January 2021 heard at the supreme court.
