Nkwanta South MP charges constituents ahead of 2020 elections

Member of Parliament for the Nkwanta South Constituency, Geoffrey Kini has urged his constituents to vote massively for the National Democratic Congress in the 2020 general elections in order to avert the current economic woes of the country.

According to the NDC MP, current economic conditions are worse off compared to the situation under the John Mahama led administration, resulting in high cost of living in the country.

Addressing a gathering of party members on Saturday, at the launch of the Nkwanta South mega victory walk, the MP said “the current administration being led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, has provided Ghanaians the opportunity to do a proper evaluation of what the NDC led by John Dramani Mahama, did while in charge of the affairs of this country”.

“Today, situations are such that Nana Addo’s administration is the most corrupt administration in history, that has failed Ghanaians in several ways. Commodity prices are unbearable, leaving the ordinary Ghanaian in serious hardship but I believe you’ve seen the difference and have no other option than to kick out this sinking government come December 7,” he added.

He stated further that, unlike the past, the current NDC would reward every hardworking and dedicated party person when it assumes power come December 7.

“I want to remind you all that the NDC of today, is different from the NDC of the past. Let’s work hard to get the party back to power and I assure you all that your efforts and dedication would be rewarded,” he noted.

The Oti regional Chairman of the party, John Gyapong Kwadwo, also told the gathering that the NDC is better placed to defeat the NPP in the 2020 elections, thus the need for party members to unite and work hard to ensure a convincing victory for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC.

“We know that the NPP would be defeated come December but that would require a lot of work, from the branch to the constituency, regional and national; and so, I want to tell you all here today, that the work has began and so we all must let go of our differences and begin to work hard to ensure that Nana Addo is voted out for good.”

He urged the members to let go of issues that emanated from the parliamentary primaries and work towards achieving the ultimate goal.

“Let go of issues that emanated from our parliamentary primaries, let go of issues you may have with John Mahama, let go of issues you may have with the MP and let go of anything that you’ve against the party and work towards that assured victory.”
