The organization is of the view that the less privileged in society deserves care and love. To make the world a better place for all irrespective of status or class, there must be a clear indication that someone cares about them. It is therefore important we work to put smiles on the faces of persons that society declares as poor and needy.

Speaking to our reporter at the lunch, the Programs Director of the organization Mr. Kofi Arku-Painstil opined that as people we should be concerned about the well being of others in society. In that vein he said is the reason why the Staple Trust Foundations’ main objective is to volunteer and transform the lives of people in communities in which they work.
“So, we go to remote areas and do boreholes, health screening, we advise and do bit and pieces to make the community a better place.

Quite recently, we were at Suhum Adakwa and we screened about 300 residents in basic things like malaria, BP, Hepatitis B and others. We went to the central mosque to deal with the Muslim women…..as an NGO we call on people to donate to us to enable us give back to the less privileged in the project communities” he added.

The Chief Executive Officer of Staple Trust Foundation, Dr. Vincent Fianko, indicated that there are many NGO’s in Ghana however the structure and work plan of Staple Trust makes it unique and completely different from all others.
Dr Finako said, “for us we don’t employ people to work on our projects because we have all the people, we need to make our projects work well. For instance, we went to the Eastern Region for a health screening and we had all the nurses and doctors as part of the team, even with the boreholes the engineers are all part of the organization. The projects are making impact in the lives of people already”.

“We facilitated the eye operation of some patients at St Thomas Hospital, so we are making impact with our projects. I wish to call on donors and cooperate Ghana to support us to do more” he told our reporter.

The Director of administration at the United Nation Youth Association, Mr. Kofi Ntow- Adjei stated the readiness of his outfit to work with Staple Trust Foundation on various projects as they seek to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in Ghana. He was very certain Staple Trust Foundation will make great impact in the NGO sector in Ghana.

As part of their projects, Staple Trust Foundation demonstrated love for the underprivileged living in slam areas of Okponglo by donating assorted drinks and food to them after the official lunch of their activities. Some of the beneficiaries were full of praise for the organization and ask that they continue to support them especially the youth in the slam area with employable skills.
