NDC’s MPs are simply unbribable and absolutely impenetrable – Ablakwa

The member of parliament for North Tongu constituency, Hon. Samual Okudzeto Ablakwa has assuaged the anger of the NDC grassroots supporters by reassuring them that their Members of Parliament are simply unbribable and absolutely impenetrable.

The MP on his Facebook wall said “Yes, we shall not be a group of reckless obstructionists but we do not intend to serve as mere conveyor belts or jinxed accomplices either”.

He was responding directly to the NDC’s grassroots supporters who were expressing their anger and plight at an alleged $50,000 bribery from president Nana Akuffo Addo’s nominees to members of the NDC on the Appointments Committee. The alleged $50,000 bribery is for the nominees to sail through the vetting committee freely without any difficulty and hindrance from the NDC MPs.

It is against this background that the party supporters are angry and calling on the NDC MPs to do the needful by preventing nominees like Hawa Komson, Dominic Nitiwul, Ambrose Dery, and others not to sail through the vetting committee for the atrocities they committed against innocent Ghanaians in the past four years.

However, according to the North Tongu MP “the conspiracy theories against NDC Members of Parliament’s Appointments Committee and the larger NDC caucus are most unfair, vexatious, malicious and downright offensive”.

Ablakwa has reassured party supporters that just as they did on the floor of parliament on 6th and 7th January 2021, they shall replicate the same on the vetting committee, he said “We have demonstrated enough grit since the election of Speaker to prove to the world that we cannot be influenced by inducements neither are we pushovers. We are simply unbribable and absolutely impenetrable!. The Ghanaian people didn’t bestow upon us these impressive numbers in Parliament only to use it for dirty deals with the forces of darkness. That will represent a betrayal of the people’s mandate in the most obscene and unconscionable terms”.

” We are confident that our work on the committee shall vindicate our integrity. Yes, we shall not be a group of reckless obstructionists but we do not intend to serve as mere conveyor belts or jinxed accomplices either, he concluded.

Yes, we shall not be a group of reckless obstructionists but we do not intend to serve as mere conveyor belts or jinxed accomplices either.

May the Lord be our helper.
