Alhaji Halidu Haruna, the Parliamentary Candidate (PC) hopeful for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in the Ablekuma Central Constituency has called on his Comrades contesting him not to take this primaries as “all die be die” affairs but to see it as a family contest looking for the best to represent the interest of the people of Ablekuma Central.
The PC hopeful, said this on his facebook wall after his campaign colleagues picked the nomination forms on his behalf.
He promised to remain committed in working to achieve victory for the NDC.
He called on his fellow contestants to come out of the contest united and solid.
He also promised to engage in issues base campaign and will ensure that all those working on his behalf would conform to his campaign strategies devoid of insults and attacks.
Alhaji Halidu Haruna, expressed his profound gratitude to God almighty for his favour and mercy, those praying for his success, his sponsors, and those using their knowledge and strength to help him in mobilisation.
He further expressed gratitude to the Constituency Executives for their commitment and hard work and assured that their commitment will not be in vain and thanked his campaign colleagues for trusting in him.
The nomination forms was picked on his behalf by Mr. Ken Selassie, Dignity and Integrity, Misbaw Suleiman, Nurudiini Mohammed, Evans Sewornu, Ali Mohammed, Nii Okaija and among others.
However, the National Democratic Congress, NDC, has slated August 24, 2019 for it’s Parliamentary primaries in the Constituencies.
The party will from July 10 to 12 open nominations to all aspirants who wants to contest in all the constituencies party offices with the exception of Afram plains where they will pick their nomination forms from the General Secretary of the party at the party headquarters in Accra.
Women and People Living with Disability have been given a special dispensation where they have been allowed to pay half of the original amount for the filing of nominations forms of only twelve thousand five hundred Ghana cedis.
On guidelines for the election, aspirants should satisfy the constitutional requirement which qualifies one to be a Member of Parliament and should also satisfy the requirements of the party.
